Tuesday 21st October

When the bell rung everybody scrambled towards the snakes and ladders when mr. Frater got there he told us how many laps to do for the morning run. As always, after the run we did the roll, bus board and news centre. We jumped straight into maths

Today we started with maths

We had to count up in sixes then count all the way back down, then we worked on squared numbers

1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 are all sqaured number, well all numbers are squared.

Morning tea went by and then it was time for silent writing, we are writing about this picture

Heaps of people shared their work

Now we have to go to the libary.

When we were in the libary we got to meet an authur- Mr. Kevin Boon

Mr Boon has written many books here is a few: Lost, Moonbiter, School Journal.



Now he is going to read us one of his books... Lost.

Lost is a long story(20 minutes,) but it was interesting!
We learnt
 from that story you have to tell people where you are going if you are going to go on a walk because tell someone or you can get lost.

Once the story finish we got to ask a few questions

Mr. Boon's favourite book is called: Kezia

Once we came back from the libary the bell rang for lunch.


We came back to class after a hot and tiresome lunch we had to practise our Maori song Te Aroha, Mrs. R told us we sang beautifully (Yay)

Now we are working on making a model of a marae 


Once we tided up the class room we started singing through Te Aroha (the song only goes for 30 seconds)

Mrs. R started reading Mrs Frisby and the rats of Nim, we are up to a chapter called 'The Owl'.

Finally the bell goes and we all say to Mrs. R "good afternoon Mrs. Roberts."
