Tuesday 17 May

Today we started off with a splendid role and then did our maths PAT test. Then we began a talk on our reports on the ballon experiment we have done. We then went out for some fresh air and food.

After the refreshing air had kicked our brain into working again we came in for a session of silent reading. Some people that were able to do things with efficiency went over to do the P.E shed. After two splendid people went over to help, we continued our wonderful silent reading.

After reading a while we were going to continue work on our reports and other things like must do's can do's, when Tane brought up that he wanted to show the class a picture and so we sat down and looked eagerly upon the pictures he showed us.

When we had finished gazing upon the pictures we continued to do our reports and other works that we may need to finish. We also did some spelling of environment for some people. After finishing them we were allowed to move on to show Mrs. Roberts, which would give us merit points if it was our most fabulous work.

After doing the work we needed to we began to observe pinecones and describe them. We talked about the olive brown and how it could be interesting. We ended up looking at how people that had brown hair colour and it was not uninteresting.

Then we did some fantastic describing of the pinecones as part of our science learning. It was very interesting to hear how they described it using words like crisp, overlapping, spiralling, shades of brown, flakes of dust, and dry.  We were challenged to explain some things in our observations, and to look closer which we were doing or course, by observing.

After going out for some fresh air and food, we took a look at some very interesting science experiments we were going to do (pictures below). We then had to write down the three things we had to ask/think of, I think... I notice... And I wonder... Then we had to get into groups and make up a name. We had a few interesting names.... Not to mention the silly scientists....

And after a fabulous and splendid day, we travelled happily home to meet our fabulous families at our warm houses.
