The bell rang and everyone came back to class almost everyone getting their book and starting to silent read. By the time Mrs Roberts came into the classroom almost everyone was reading silently
After silent reading Kea Class came in for reciprocal reading. Some of the students explained what reciprocal reading was. Mrs Roberts and Mr Sheehan had made us some groups that we worked with.
We finished our reciprocal reading and came in. Mrs Roberts read us a report so we would know how to write a report correctly. The book was called "Ringo's Assessment.
We went through the steps of creating a report and what present tense etc was. We started writing down headings for a bush report, for example; "What kinds of trees grow in a native bush?" We went in Kea to share our headings. The lunch bell rang so we finished the discussion and went out to lunch.
... Lunch finished when the bell rang. Mrs Roberts asked what our favourite song or band was for the roll then we went back to Kea. We are trying to figure out what a scientist does. We have been looking at at fish skeleton and commenting on it. Mrs Roberts handed out some papers that had a photograph on it and we had to note on it in our books. We finished our project for the day and packed up.
Mrs Roberts handed out the notices and we started reading "Goodnight Mr Tom." We read until the bell rang and we all went home.
