Thursday the 31st of March

Today we started off with doing running and the roll learning Maori numbers. Then we went to the library and did some work, or exchanged our book. We had to do it very quietly though because the Tui's were in the library reading a book.
Then after morning tea we went to see some bikes. They were very fun and we had a very good time. Thank you for coming to show us your bikes! We had a lot of fun doing races, and just having a very fun time on them after.

Afterwards we went back to the library for more work and reading. Before we read more goodnight Mr. Tom. Then some of us went swimming and the other ones went back to the library for more work.

After lunch we went to music aprecciation. It was very fun and the host was paua class. We learnt about sound waves and how it makes high and low notes. We learnt about a 14 year old that found a way to make deaf people listen to music, and about nowhere hoped that it would help more people joy music too. We also watched one about some sience projects making Music and sound effects.

It was extremely cool to see the particals of salt and more react to sound and electricity reacting to some sort of plastic, and how it made music and how it sounded. We also learnt of a website called bouncyballs.org where if you have a microphone on your computer, and it gets loud, the more noise there is, the more the balls move.

Then we went off to senior sports. We did it a little bit differently. We only had the field and the swimming pool left. Kea went swimming, and Paua, Kiwi, and Ruru went on the field. Ruru did soccer with their lovely teacher Mrs. Roberts. Then we went home.

  1. Wow! I would love to see that with my own eyes it's just strange seeing the reactions with salt and music. Amazing!!
