After reading we were asked by Mrs Roberts to quickly come down to the mat and we were told which class we were going to go to with Puekeko and Tui. I was told to go to Tui today with the teacher Mrs Frankin we are doing Dinosaurs today. We have to draw our favourite dinosaur. we had to find a fact about dinosaurs and draw our favourite dinosaur.first in pencil, then crayon. then we colour it with dye and then went and let them dry, to take home next time. After that we came back to our classes. Now we are doing connective work. connectives are when you join two sentences together to further explain an idea, to make a point, to give examples, to show effects, or to add extra information. all of those are connectives. We did some on the board in the class room then we talked about being responsible and doing the right thing because our class is the class with the big kids.we are the roll models so we have to be responsible and reliable. After that we carried on with connectives.we said some connectives to the class and there were 13 slides on the computer of connectives and how to use them. This is a picture of some connectives.
After we had to do some sheets of connectives then the bell rang and we went to eat our lunch yummy. After lunch we did the roll, after we had Tilly who was in America for a little holiday and she showed us some stuff and she said we could have a pencil and a lolly at home time. I found it very generious of Tilly. After we started our Book Jackets from a story we read which was about a book and a little girl and a dog. In the middle of making book jackets the kapa haka people had to leave. after we finished our book jackets we had to make a title and front cover and colour it in at the end. I could see lots of fabulous book jackets.then a bell rang and we had to read a book. then we had to tidy the class room and put up the chairs and then sit on the mat. then the class said what they did in the week end and after that Tilly gave us a a lolly each thank you Tilly and then we went home.
