Friday 27 February

In the morning we had no run because it is a Friday so instead we had recorders for the first time of the year and the first song we did didn't sound too good but it was a warm up so it didn't matter.We did quite a lot more better the 2nd time we tried it and after recorders we showed our homework so everyone that didn't do their homework including mathletics so if they didn't get their mathletics award they would have to stay in until they get their award.Here's some pictures of us showing our homework....
We read Craig's story of the best time of his life.After that we played the ministers cat

After playing the ministers cat we had morning tea. After morning tea it was buddy reading. Then we finished off work and some people went to kapahaka.
In the afternoon we went to whanau groups and then we did our assembly.

After the run Ruru did the roll and mrs Roberts asked us what was in our lunch box in maori then we listened to Jonathan's blog from yesterday.
Then after lunch we went to Pukeko room to help them on mathletics then we had lunch

25th Wednesday February 2015

We started the day with a morning run then did the roll using te reo Maori and the sentence was he aha kei roto I to pouaka Kai. It means what do you have in your lunchbox.
And then we played a game of fry the pig and the number was 6381.Fry the pig is a number game like hangman when you write a number. and we have to guess it if we say a digit in the number then we have to work out where it is in the number and if we get it wrong Mrs Roberts,starts drawing parts of a pig.Mrs Roberts was talking to us about if I had this money how many ten dollar notes will I will have.

After all of that we did maths,
Red group did putting decimals into fractions.
Blue group did tenth sand hundredths.
Green group did working with money.
Yellow group did a maths worksheet .
After was morning tea.

After morning tea was silent writing we were writing about a shipwreck.
We also geared Mrs Roberts story, Elena's story and Makaia's story, they were all really good.

After our silent writing we had to choose writing buddies .
After all our writing we were working on our solo taxonomy for assembly. In our solo taxonomy we will be showing the parents in assembly what it is all about.

We started the day with our morning run followed by the roll. We welcomed the year 5s back from camp and they told us their news. We then shared what we did on the weekend. For maths we continued learning about place value. Red group were ordering decimal numbers. Blue group and green group continued the work on recognising what each number stood for and yellow group worked on mathletics. All to soon it was time for morning tea. 

After morning tea we shared our book Blueback and then continued our report. Then it was time for basket ball. 

We practised dribbling the ball using our left and then our right hand. Then we practised dribbling and shooting, team against team. 





Then it was time for lunch it was wet play .After lunch a lady called Amanda who came From Harold .
She talked to us about what we should eat and not and what the nutrition panel . 


Then we read a few pages of blue back , then the bell rang .

We did the run and said good buy to kea who were going on camp. We came inside and did the roll in Maori.
We played number hangman  







The we did some maths 







Then it was morning tea time we had milk and did some silent reading .






We read a report and we had to hi light the thing s that are in a report .
Then we watched a video before we went for a swim .





Then it was lunch 
After lunch we came in and did the roll 
We did enviro maps from the other day .

Then we read a story called Cinda-ally 





Then it was the end of the day .

Monday 16th February

We started the day off with some Maori bingo example it's when the teacher calls out food or cooking stuff then we put a counter on the picture and if we get all of them we say bingo. Here is a picture of the bingo board.



And when we were done we did some numbers in the th,h,t,o,. When me me and Cody went to Felicity we did some numicon here is a emaple of my one.


When we were done we had to do mathletics or study ladder. 
When we got back from morning tea mrs Robert read as a story about some witch poems and a book called heard it in the playground and a non-fiction book about the Victorian homes.It was about people were getting richer and businesses were getting busted as the town grew bigger.
And when we did basketball then we went to lunch.after lunch we watched a video about swimming.it shows you about freestyle stroke for when we go

Friday 13th February



Today we started the day with checking our homework we started our basic facts ladder  .By then it was morning tea time after morning tea we had milk and read to our buddy's , And we finished the basic facts ladder ,Finally it was lunch times .we had to finish our tacks that Mrs Roberts had set. For us .


We read blue back the big Australian fish . It was nearly end of the day but the only thing left was Assembly.

Wednesday, 11th February


Today we started the day off with the run to get us ready to learn. 

Once everyone had done their fitness we did our Maori roll, in the Maori roll Mrs Roberts calls out our name and she will hold up a card for example If she held up water it would be wai.

Then we did some maths we are learning nine times tables with different strategies.


Then we got in our groups for maths, blue finished off their work sheet.


And then they marked it.

Then is was morning tea.

After morning tea we did some silent writing, the picture was a 
snowy mountain with luminous water with ice. We did that for fifteen minutes.

After the fifteen minutes had gone by we started a report plan, this is Mrs Roberts's..

After we came down onto the mat and we got into our
 reading groups and we were about to read a book in 
our group but then the bell rang for lunch.


After lunch we did the Maori roll again.


Then we went to singing we sang Haere Mai everything is ka pai, 
and Sausage and Custard.


Then we went to the library and got our books and we also started
 making a poster to advertise the library.

Then the bell rang for us all to go home.

5th February

Today we started off with the run. With a new person called Ethan. Then we did some more close call. Mrs Roberts won. Just after that we did a little math tour around the cubbys. Then we did mathletics the big z game and the time. After that we had morning tea.
After moring tea we had buddy reading. We were picking our buddies. Some people didi'nt get a buddy. Next we did some of our oystercatcher. It is not that hard. Then we went swimming and practised some freestyle. After we did swimming we went to lunch. When lunch was finished we did our roll with some Maori colours. Then Mrs Roberts showed us our homework. Then we read a bit of the book. After that we played a game of dodgeball. Then we had asembly and went home

Wednesday 3rd February 2015

 Today we started off with the run. Then we did our roll in Maori again. And we did some but did a different we did a new bit of it we did He aha tera tae. After that we just got our books and put our names on them and got some covers.                                  
Then we played close call again
Then we had morning tea
After morning tea we had our milk
Then we did some writing when we wrote the Alphabet down and wrote some stuff starting with the alphabet for example B I PLAYED BEACHBALL AT THE BEACH and you had also to underline so you know that that is the word for the letter 
Some people went to Mrs Roberts and practised the time and how to tell it. 
Then we did some more work about the Oyster catchers some of it was hard and some of it was easy.
Then we had lunch
After that we had singing.
We sung a new song Haere Mai from Daphne Walker
Then we finished off some work from yesterday.                          

Then we packed up and Mrs Roberts read us a book called Blueback
