2nd December Friday

Today we started of with the daily roll,bus roll and news centre. Then we headed to the hall to have our last rehersal for tonight's Christmas consert. Since we sang wonderfully we got a treat of watching a air New Zealand add. Then we headed back to class to do a e-ako test. Then the bell rang for morning tea 

  

After morning tea we had buddy reading then we went back to class and carryed on with the e-ako test. Then the teacher had a talk with us about camp and went over about our activities and other important things. Then the bell rang for lunch.

 

While lunch was on the hall was filled with students to watch the ultimate soccer battle teachers vs green whanau group and the teachers have game they won 21-11. After lunch we quickly did the afternoon roll. Then we headed to ur whanau groups and did I mention that I'm excited for camp. After whanau groups we got into a circle to have some gossip (sharing what we are doing in weekends)

 

Then we headed to the hall for assembly and did I meant ion that I can't wait until camp and a special thank you to Mrs Roberts for organising this thank you

1st of December Thursday

Today we started off with the daily roll then headed out to go practise our Christmas songs "I think we are ready for tomorrow's concert" then we went back to class to finish off work our teacher really wanted a chrome book free day and I agree. Later on the bell rang for m orning tea . 

After morning tea we finished off some work then went to the pools at 11:42 yay.  

Then headed back to class.A student shared in a gadget that the principal had given Ruru class everyone loves the new gadget it is very addictive. After that it was lunch time. After lunch we did the afternoon roll. But before the roll we did a class room clean up 

 

1st of December Thursday

After morning tea we finished off some work then went to the pools at 11:42 yay.

The. We went outside next to the soccer field to practise standing up and lineing up on the stage for the Christmas concert.We headed inside the hall to practise singing for the Christmas songs. Then we did a good jolly game of Danish . Today Ruru won the game of Danish and was prized to put all the gear away and that's the end of the day good afternoon 😄😄😄😄

Friday the 11th of November

Today we got strait into recorders. After track 16 we listened to battle of the bands from Maidstone intermediate. Then listened to another video we all spotted the people that used to come to this school in these videos. We lasted watched BBC planet earth 2 it's about a baby Iguana and a Snake. The snakes try to hunt down the Iguana. In the end he as free.

 

Once we finished with our recorders we had to get our calendar art done then if we did that we had to do mathletics. And the third thing was must do can do's. If you did all of that we could write a story about the Iguana and Snake. That all we did before morning tea.

At the end of morning tea we did buddy reading. Once we finished buddy reading we got back to class and shared our homework. Some people did story, drawings, presentations, raps or songs.

After homework Tane shared some of his videos from Australia. Once we finished we went to lunch.

When lunch was over we talked about our names. We tidy our google drive if you did that you could do anything for half an hour.

Then we did circle time.

Wednesday the 9th of November

Today we did the roll and did our walk to Tunnel Gully to get fit for camp. We came back and had morning tea.  After morning tea we went to Kea to watch some Rare earth

 

We started by looking at key words like yesterday so we could get a better understanding. After that we got into groups and did what we did on Monday and Tuesday, We looked at the segment one key words to circle when you watch the movie

 

We got another sheet for segment key words. Then we had to write down what we thought were key words.

 After that we went back to class because it was not working and did our hand art.

A while later  some people were doing their hands while others played heads up thumbs down. Then we went home.

Tuesday the 8th of November

Today we did the roll. Then we stated off with maths like we usually do but with Kea as well. We did some must do can do's mathletics and workshops. 
After morning tea we went to Kea and watch  some more Rare earth.   We did this for the movie to learn what prefixes and stems and suffixes are.   

 

 

After lunch Ms Olds came in and we did some hand art that we are finishing of from yesterday   

 

 

After drawing our  hand art we went outside to do p.e some people did relays while others did paper scissors rock. Then we went home.

Monday 7th of November

We started off with the roll.After the roll we got strait into maths joined with Kea. We did some mathletics must do can do's and workshops.

 

After morning tea we went to Kea room and watched a movie called Rare earth then had lunch. Then after lunch we listened to Peirce's and Ryan's presentations about space. After that we drew ourself on a small piece of paper for the tea towels once we were finished we drew our hand and our name for our mum and dad.

Friday the fourth of November

Today is wacky hair day today  first off we had the roll and news then it was recorders then it was homework. Then it was morning tea after morning turning tea we finished homework  after homework it was lunch time. Then it was whanau groups

Wednesday 2nd of November

First off we had the roll and news then we went for our walk but this time kea came with us and we only went up and down the hill up plateau rode after the walk it was morning tea time after morning tea time we had the shared book Paul Jennings spookiest stories after the shared book we did some narrative writing 
 after narrative writing we did some Pe.  lunchtime was after Pe. Finishing the shared book was after lunch 

Tuesday 25th October

Today we started the day off with the roll. We listened to each other's weekend too. There was no run because it was pouring down outside. We got a notice asking us to be dropped off at the pou outside of school to help reduce the cars in our street. They also pointed out the pou patrol people.

Then, after we did that, we headed off to maths. We are doing a range of different mathematical things to prepare us for next year and the rest of our life. We were learning things like square roots, percentages, and so forth. It's hard at the beginning and easy once you practice. 

Then we went out for morning tea. After a delicious morning tea we headed off to the library. We read some of our shared book and then we did some silent reading. Afterward we went out to the library we went out to some workshops and did some writing in our class or in the library. 

Then we went out to lunch. After a delicious lunch we had Mrs. Armstrong come to teach us about space. We finished off some work and found out about why we have Labor Day. We have Labor Day because a carpenter long ago refused to do a job for more than 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. He liked spending 8 hours to sleep, 8 hours for recreation, and 8 hours for work. 

After doing that we sat down and did a massage circle for those who wanted to. We did clouds, rain, Adam writing words on the persons back. Then we have them 5 hugs, because he teacher that started the massage circle believed that everyone should have 5 hugs a day.

 

Then we went home to get rest and relaxation to prepare us for tomorrow's school day.

Monday 17th of October

We did the run and then we came in and we did the roll.Then kea class came in and did maths with us.Then we went away and did some work shops or you could do some must do and can dos.Then we went out to go to morning tea.After morning tea we went over to the Libary.Then we had story time with Mrs Roberts.Then we did reading in a group.Then we got our two page story out and started to edit our work.In the arftnon Mrs maxwell.

Then we did some GoNoodle.

 

  Then we did some work sheets.

 

12th of October

Katlin is back yay, Katlin was talking about her amazing holiday seeing amazing things.  Once Katlin was halfway through we went out for a walk up plateau hill and came back down and listened to the rest of her story, Katlin also gave everyone a little bit of chocolate for morning tea,   

after morning tea Mrs Roberts read Emmy and the shrinking rat. After a chapter we stopped and kea went back into there class we started finishing off some work, after a while we came in and we got stuck into story time with Mrs Roberts, Mrs Roberts read a few storys to us.

Monday the 10th of October

We started off the morning with talking about our holidays then we went straight into maths did some work and grabbed our things for morning tea and made our way out, after morning tea we grabbed a computer and book and went to the Libary after we went back to the classroom and shared more holiday news, after lunch today we went out to play a game we played rob the nest and a line game with a hop.  We came back to the class and talked about a game we are going to try tomorrow that is called left right elbow flick. And that is were the day finishes 

Tuesday the 20th of September 2016 🆕

Today instead of doing the roll first we colected the Jump Jam tokens and then gave out loads and loads of Merit Awards!

Then finally we got on with the roll, busbroad and notices. When we had finished we had a talk about becoming a green gold school, we had a look at a piece of paper on what it takes to become a Green Gold School, then we comppered our school to the qualities on the piece of paper.

We also had a talk about our learning and relating that to the whole subject! 📝=🏅

Monday 19th of September 2016 🆕

Today after the roll, joined by Kea class Mrs Roberts red chapter 10 of the book, "Emmy and the Incredible shrinking Rat". Not long after we all had a move around and then sitting back down to read chapter 11 of the book.

Quite a few times we were interrupted by the bell, it turns out that they were testing the bell, they had tested the bell the other day but for some reason they had carryed on today.

When we had finished we all got ready to go out to the twin lakes to plant some plants!

When we got back, which ended up being after morning tea we finished some of our work. 📂

 

Because we got back so late it was time for lunch not long after that!

After Lunch we carried on with the same work that we started doing before lunch.

At 10 to 3:00 Kea class came in and Mr Sheehan came in and talked to us for a little while. 

After he had finished talking we all went home and the day was over!

 In the morning the whole school had a parade about all the characters and books Roald Daul wrote.

We then worked on our thank you letter for Ruth Paul ,who visited Plateau school yesterday.

We shared our BFG writing and then shared our thank you letters to Ruth Paul.

 

We did the roll and then went on our Chromebooks do our work and shared Graces presentation about Mrs Nadine.

We marked the homework then went out for lunch.

It was inside play because it was wet 

I did wet play for Paua at lunchtime today.

 

We had whanau groups and Green whanau did silent ball and Go Noodle.

We had 2 balls and we had to catch them to be still in.

We then did Go Noodle.

We then had assembly and we had the class items for today's assembly.

I shared my thank you letter to the whole school and some others did too and also some people are sharing their BFG writing.  

Monday 12th of September

 

My blog

Today we are explaining how we all relax at home.We then started with our maths and instead of normal work we are doing games.We are going to play the games with a relief teacher named Mrs Harrison they are bowl a fact and also greedy pig the ideas of bowl a fact is that you have to try to use all your numbers using minus,addition and and multiplication.We are sharing to the class how we got number four and number ten. 

 

 

we are now starting our numeracy task altogether and working out some equations for it.I am very excited after lunch because we can get on to reading time.I am going to do my sheet at home because I had ran out of time because there were not enough.We are marking all the stages first and now collecting the sheets.It is now morning tea and after morning tea we are going to the library.We all played a game called bingo and Jack won twice and Tane won once.The prize was a bookmark made by someone.

 

All of my class wore party hats and then talked about Roald Dahl and how he lived his life.We then told some jokes from his joke book.The class were laughing I was quite amazed on how he got so many jokes to make my class laugh.

Back at the classroom we are doing something which includes drawing.I am very happy because some people in this room love to draw and are very good at drawing.

It is nearly lunch and we are maybe going to play a game of dodge ball plus.Yeeeahyaaaahz!

We have just done the roll and now we are going back to the library to do a game with questions and we are maybe going to win because we have done all the tasks that the library sent us to do.

  

We are now throwing our paper planes at Mr Sheehan and we all got so close but Mr Sheehan moved a little backwards.

Tuatara won and Pukeko won aswell my class was so excited about winning the Mini library sprint.We all thought that we did a really good job on the tasks and thought we would of come second.
