Thursday 28 May

In the morning we did jump jam then did the roll and Mrs Davidson came in and gave us some good news and some bad news.After we started talking about yesterday when Mrs Roberts took us into the back room and gave us a test.We were talking about what she wants to hear from us in our writing.We  were talking about paragraphs with food on a plate.After Jonathan and Craig showed us how to make a good google drawing and what you're meant to do is you get an image then draw around it then delete the image.After everyone had to try it with a partner.

After everyone doing theirs we all shared our pictures and only 3 groups got chosen to show and there were only 2 in each group.After sharing Mrs Roberts was reading a book called First Week Blues and Amanda from the Life Education Bus gave us it.After we had morning tea.After morning tea we had our milk and Mrs Roberts continued reading the book.

After reading the book we all had to do a writing test and you have to answer some questions about writing.After doing the writing Mrs Roberts was reading a book called "Once" and it's about World War Two.After Mrs Roberts reading to us we went to buddy maths.After buddy maths we had lunch.After lunch we did the roll and then went to the hall to read the book "The Chicken Gave It To Me".

Then we went to do sports.

Wednesday 27 May

In the morning we did jump jam and came back to class after to do the roll.After doing the roll we played donut dice and in this game there's a inside circle and a outside circle and you move around and you both throw a dice and times it.Everytime you say it first you put down a point on a piece of paper and when you tie you both put down a point.

After playing donut dice we all got into our maths groups to do our maths.After maths we had morning tea and after morning tea we had our milk and Ms olds was reading the book Where The Wild Things Are.After reading the continued our writing from yesterday and is about a temple and we have to use heaps of dialogue.

After writing we got into our reading groups.For reading red group had to finish their sheets and blue group finished their sheet then went to do a spelling sheet.Green group did the same spelling sheet as blue group except they did it the whole day and I'm not sure what yellow group did.After we had lunch.

After lunch we had sing then we went to the library for along time then after we went home.

Tuesday 26 May

In the morning we had jump jam then did the roll with weathers in Maori and after the roll we sorted out  our new maths groups. After that we did some fractions. 

Then red group went to problem solving.After maths we had morning tea and after morning tea we had a big talk with Mrs Roberts then Mrs Roberts started reading a book to us.After Mrs Roberts reading the book too us Mary showed us some pictures of her at Te Papa.We started doing silent writing and we did it about a temple that was found.

After reading we tidyed up and went to lunch.After lunch we did the roll then we came up with some ideas about what makes a successful learner.

After we did it all we had to talk to someone next to you and say how all the words make a successful learner.After we had to think of ideas that express ourselves using photographs.

Monday 25 May

In the morning we did jump jam and then we went back to class.As always we do maths in the morning and Red group went to problem solving and our now were learning more fractions and multiplication.

After maths Mrs Roberts was reading a book called "Once".The book is based on World War Two and is about a boy that lives in a orphanage far away from the city up on the hills.He's nervous because his parents are still alive and everyone's else's parents are dead.After reading "Once" we started reading a book from Paul Jennings called "Lick".This book is about a boys dad that always makes his son "Andrew" have a lot of manners and his dad hates manners and can't stand flies.His dad once has his boss over and Andrews parents made a deal that they wouldn't tell Andrew off.After reading that book we went to lunch

After lunch we did the roll and had Amanda from the Life Education bus.

At the start we were remembering what we saw in then the Life Education bus.We were Remembering the video that had Bonny, Anna, Sarah, Jude and mum.Bonny was the main character and she had a situation when Sarah and Jude asked Bonny to the movies and she said yes but when she got home she had a invite to Anna's birthday party on the same day.Bonny decide to lie to Sarah And Jude but one of Anna's friends sat next to Sarah and Jude and told them who was going to Anna's birthday party and then they asked Anna who's coming because they heard Bonnys name so the got mad at Bonny.When Sarah and Jude told Anna what happened and then she got mad at Bonny too.Bonny didn't know what to do because she wasn't going to anything now and doesn't have any friends.

We were learning more about feelings and about being rude, bullying and being mean.After that we started playing a game called "Match".In the game she reads a sentence and we're meant to choose if it goes in rude, bully and mean.

After playing the game started thinking about why we can't control what happens.

We had to get in a circle and we all got cards that were mean or good and if they were good we called it a filler and if it was bad we called it dipper.After Amanda left we packed up because it was 10 Minutes to 3 O'Clock.In the time we had we started thinking about the behaviour we had.

Then we went home.

Thursday 21st May

We started the day of with having Mrs Heemi ,we showed her a song called Koromiko .

Then we did maths .

Then it was morning tea .

After morning tea Mrs Heemi read us a maori story .

Then we went I the mobile-library. 

Then we did some punctuation work.

Then we went to buddy maths with Pukeko and Tui .

Here are some groups.

After lunch Mrs Heemi did the roll. Mrs Heemi read the rest of our story that we were reading called nag atua then we finished our punctuation sheet then when we finished we did our sheet we did mathletices or reading eggs .

Tuesday 19th May

 We started the day of with a run ,year six did five laps round the concrete but if you are in cross country on Sunday you had to do three more . we counted in our skip counting back and forward in our sixs then Mrs Roberts wrote some maths questions on the board and we had to solve them .

We then did our nine times tables and we all knew that the tens goes up ten and the ones goes down 

one and the answer add up to nine .Then Mrs Roberts put up at hundreds number on the board .

We then did maths groups yellow did work with Mrs Roberts blue did over things like 8 times 99

Green is doing maths out of the red maths books while red went to problem solving .

After morning tea Olivia and Tilly shared a slide show that they made about Gallipoli in World War One .

Then we did our P.A.T reading test .

We had two games of doge ball girls against boys and every one for them selves .

The bell rang and we all went to get our lunch .

After lunch Mrs Roberts did the roll.

We did some more work on our photography topic page and then once we finished the title page we had to right down the resons that we take photographs and if two words link together you put an arrow like this 

After that we went to kiwis solo assemble .

We went back to the class room and Grace showed us her one hundred and one slide show about monarch butterfly's but don't worry we only read seven teen pages .

Then it was home time .

Monday 18th May

 We started the day with Mrs Roberts asking us what we did in the weekend  then Paua came in and they shared theirs too. The some people went to problem solving.

 

We then did maths, blue did timing two digit numbers, green did work with Mrs Roberts on white boards

Yellow did mathletics and Paua finsihed their writing and red were doing problem 

Then it was morning tea 

After morning tea Paua had gone back to there normal teacher ,we had our milk then did our P.A.T maths test .

Then we played dodge ball ,

 Grace also showed us her topic page and read us a poem.

Then Mrs Roberts asked us to tell her some outside games,

 She then read us the story we are reading .

The bell rang so Mrs Roberts called out Maori Colours and if we were wearing that colour we went to eat . 

After lunch time Mrs Roberts to go get an object that we knew in Maori in the class room so we could ask the person below us own the roll what it was on Maori .

Mrs Roberts read us the end of the book that we were reading . 

Mrs Roberts showed us some books that we had to choose from to read .We are reading Once about World War Two we read the first chapter .

 

We then made a title page about photography 

We had to go to solo assembly but we ended up doing singing then we had to go home .

Friday 15 may 2015

Today we started off the morning with recorders.Then we did the basic facts ladder will we were waiting for the other people to do the basic facts ladder we finished off some work or done mathletics and reading eggs.

Then it was time for morning tea.After morning tea it was buddy reading.Next some people went to Kapahaka, back in the class room testing the loopy planes and making more of them.Then it was time for lunch.

After lunch we did whanau groups and green was doing board games.

Then mrs Roberts read us a book.Next it was time for asembly.After assembly it was three o'clock and we went home.

Thursday 14 may 2015

Today we staeprted off the morning with a PAT punctuation and gramma test if we had finished that we        had to read our books,finish off work or check our test.

Afte the test it was about 10 o'clock so we all finished off some work.Then it was time for morning tea.After morning tea we had 15 minuets free time.Next mrs Roberts read us some of our book.Then mrs Roberts read us some of her charecter description and then we edited our buddies work.

Next it was time for buddie maths and we were finishing off what we did last week that was symmetrical butterflies.

Then it was lunch.After lunch we played a game of splash.Next we all went to the hall for singing and mrs Roberts read us a book.After that some people left due to the wether.Then back in class we played a game of silent ball and the ministers cat.

Wednesday 13 may

Today we had mrs Olds we started off the morning with doing the roll and saying what our favoured subject was at school.Thenit was time for maths and my group was working with mrs Olds we were learning how to compensating.

Next it was silent reading.Then Mrs Olds read us a book called don't let they the penguin drive the bus.After we did that we carried on with our character descriptions from Monday but first we were checking our writing buddys writing.

Then we done some sharing about one of our sentences in our book.Next it was time for reading and we went in to our reading groups and done it this is what blue group done.Then that it was time for lunch.

After lunch we went to singing.Next we went to the library.Then we talked about how to make our loopy airplanes different like changing the name of it and what is the best thing that it can do

.

After that Nadine shared her news.

Tuesday 12 May

Today we stared of with the roll in moari. After we talked about a man that has been to Antarctica then we watched a video about Antarctica. The video was called science facts for kids. Ken Ryan talk about    a Cargo plane he said that you can fit two helicopter in the Cargo plane

Ken Ryan slept in a tent in the cold and there is a toilet tentand he is also a gym coach. In the tent it's warm. Mary and Cody are getting in to  Antarctica clothes.

This penguin  is 300'000 years old It is a Adelie penguin. This penguin is mummified. It died in that place . 

After morning tea we did how many ways you can clean up oil spills. 

We did a experiment with oil,soap,water and tissue.

 we did a experiment we wrote a leter to Ken Ryan. This is Elizabeth work. After lunch we carried on with our Ken Ryan writing and publish it. Then we had to do three worksheets   

We stared to pack up then we talked about the people who went to the swimming sports. Kurt came 1st in backstroke and Breaststroke. we went out for a game of dodgeball.
