Monday 31 march

The bell rung. we all came inside we had a gossip about the weekend then we did maths then it was morning tea  then we did silent writing for 15 minutes some people were reading their stories to the class. Then we did apostrophes 2 work sheets about apostrophes we had to finish them before but we had to go to solo assembly kea talked about rick tacking after that the bell rung for lunch. We came in after lunch and did the roll after that we went to singing then we did topic some of the people went to learn German with Sam our topic was about making choices then the bell rung for home time.

26.3.14

To day we started the day by doing the roll but first we had a problem with the board. Mrs. Roberts used her chrome book to do the roll. We had to ask  he aha tenei tae? Which means what colour is this. Then we gave out the notices.  After that we did math for half an hour. Then we had morning tea, after that we did punctuation. We learnt about the possessive apostrophe. We did our group reading. Some of the groups had tasks to do and Mrs. Roberts worked with the red group doing reciprocal reading strategies. After lunch we did some follow up work about the orchestra and listened to classical music. An ex student came to help a group learn German. It was fun.

Our Trip to New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Sculpture Tour

Today we are going to NZSO. First we started to get ready for the concert, then we lined up to get on the bus and about 40 minutes later we got to the Michael Fowler Centre. We had morning tea, after that we went to sit down in our seats and listen to the music. Some people weren't fans of it and other people loved it. We listened to Strauss, Vivaldi, a sea shanty by Malcolm Arnold and music to accompany the reading of Margaret Mahy's "Lion in the Meadow." There was a man dressed in an odd costume. He told us what the music was about which was nature and seasons. Then everyone had lunch. After that we had a look at the sculptures because everyone had to sketch at least one. All the sketches looked really good. Some people tried to find eggs for a Whittakers treasure hunt. I saw 5 eggs. Then we got back on the bus and got back to school. by Amy

Wednesday 19th march

Today we had a surprise teacher miss downing  and we played a math game called round the world 

Then we had a swim and it was morning tea.

After morning tea we read our books and miss downing traced our shadow  then we started cutting out pictures and glueing them to the paper and listened to music while we did are are work then it was lunch

After we continued our work till 3.00

Monday 17th March

First Mrs.Heemi talked to us about Slavery and then we went swimming. After swimming we went back to class and had a Gossip, then it was morning tea.  After morning tea we did some silent reading and then started some silent writing on a fantasy castle. At the end of silent writing, Mrs.Heemi told us to come down on the mat to share our writing with the class.Cole read his first,then Amy,then Mackenzie.After all that we got our lucky book club Magazines, then we did apostrophes. After that Mrs.Heemi talked to us about NZCEA, then it was lunch time. After lunch Mrs.Roberts came back and we had another Gossip.After our Gossip we looked at NZSO (New Zealand Symphony Orchestra).After that we did some work with atlases then we went back to looking at the NZSO

Friday 14 march

We started off the day with a roll and then we shared some homework  then played Maori bingo until morning tea. After that we came back and did some buddy reading with kiwi class and then did some finishing of work that we did during the week for a bit then we did the basic facts test until lunchtime. After lunchtime we did whanau groups then we went to assembly until 3.00

Thursday 13 march

We started off the day by running 4 laps on the field then did the roll. Then mrs Roberts told us that it was mr Roberts birthday and she that had made I pie which we fractioned into 10 pieces then after that we did maths until morning tea as soon as the 2nd bell rang we all came in as mrs Roberts read us some of the hobbit. After that we did our sheets with punctuation. And then we did some group reading of Roald Dahl until lunchtime. After the 3rd bell rang we came back and finished some of our work until mrs Roberts told us to come back to the as she read as some more of the hobbit until senior sport which we did until 3.00

Wednesday 12 march

We started off the day with a run and then a roll until mrs Roberts told us about how much she won in the lottery last night which then turned into maths until morning tea. After morning tea we came in and drank our milk while mrs Roberts read us some of the hobbit. After that we did some work on on our speech mark sheets. Then we did some group reading until lunchtime. After lunchtime we came in and did a victor thinks 

Sheet and discussed what we should not do much of when we are older and did another sheet until 3.00

Tuesday 11march

As soon as the bell rang we went and did the run and after that we had a gossip about our weekend. and then did some maths until morning tea after morning tea we came back and drank our milk.  then did some silent writing which we did until our swimming time. which went up till lunchtime so as soon as the bell rang again we came in and did some art with nadine until 3.00.

 

Monday 10 march

As soon as the bell rang we came in and did the roll After the roll we did kiwikick and learnt the ruck. We went swimming in the pool and practised our breath stroke and played stuck in the mud.  then it was morning tea. Once morning tea had finished we came back and drank our milk while some  people did the stream an then we did speech writing  then it was lunch. After the bell rang we came in and did the role then went to singing after that we came in and did our goal setting sheets and download an application called mindmup then mrs Roberts called us to the mat and then we watched a video of the nzso

Wednesday 5 March

Today we did not do the run because it was to wet. But we had a surprise teacher Miss. Kessell came in and tort us until morning tea. When Miss Kessell came she gave us an activity about were we have been in the world. Some people have been to all tips of places around the world it was really fascinating to listen to we're people have been around the glob.Then we made some posters and cards. About what country or city we wanted to go to. Then it was morning tea time. After morning tea we had Mrs.Robots again and she tort us about? Writing a speech which is punctuated correctly. It really made us grow our brain sells because we had to do lots of thinking.

Then we did some activities and then we stuck them into our books and then it was time for lunch. After lunch we did the roll and went straight to singing to practise  our singing skills. The hole school is getting better and better at our singing voices. After signing we did a test. Reading vocabulary test 3. Then we had a fun game and called the (minster cat) we sat in a circle and played the game it was really fun. Then we went home

Tuesday 4 March

Today we did the run it was really chilly the cold really made us going. We practised for our solo assembly after the run then it was morning tea. After morning tea we did an activity with the white boards and the white board pens it looked like fun and growing your brain sals. Then we practise our solo assembly. One more time then all the classes came and we put on a good show. Because they laughter the hole way through. Then it was lunch time. After lunchNadine came in and we started to finish our art. 

     

Monday 3 March

This morning it was very cold. But we still  managed to play kiwi kick. When kiwi kick was finished we came in and made things for our solo assembly our solo assembly is about resilience. There was a lot of things happening in the Classroom that involved paper and a hole lot craft. The class was super messy with paper everywhere but we cleaned it up fairlane did good gob at that.Then it was morning tea. After morning tea we had Mr.Frater with us and we finished off our work for solo assembly that was really fun and exciting. Then it was lunch time and we ran around to have some fun and to get some air.  After lunch we went to sining we san bad hair day we were so good. After we talked about our weekends there were some good stories it sounds like they were  lots of fun even Mrs.Robots told us her story in the weekend.  Then some people in our class went to kiwi kick well the rest of us went swimming we were really really good swimmers Then it was time to go home. I hop tomorrow will be fun as well.
