Thursday 27th

In the morning it was cold but we new it was going to be a good  day. First we started with the run we had to do 4 laps around the field.  We came inside and took the roll using our Maori. After that we went outside and played a game of bench ball then it was morning tea. After morning tea we came inside and drunk our milk while reading the hobbit then we did our maths test and then went for a swim it was nice for us to cool down.we came back and the bell went ring and it was time to get our lunch. After lunch we came inside and did the roll and we packed up because we were going outside for sport but we quickly read some more of the hobbit while waiting. We went out to sport and played

New rounders it was time to go home after that.

Today Ruru was excited because our old and new friend  came back to plateau school . We started of with the run and came on to do some Te Reo Maori. We learned how to say what is this colour and how to say what the colour was. We went and did some maths after that then it was morning tea. Mrs Roberts read us the hobbit while we drank our milk then we came back to our stories that we have been writing. 

We are doing reading groups. Red group are reading: The Twits, Green Group Are Reading: Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,Blue Group are reading: Danny the Champion on the world and Yellow Group are reading: because of Winn Dixie.

 After reading it was lunch time so we ate our lunch and went to play. After lunch we did singing we sung kiwi kids and spider. We came back to class and did goal setting and brain storming about are topic making good choices. Mrs Roberts Talked to us about responsibility. We tided up the classroom then got ready to go home. The bell rang and it was the end of the day. Ohhhhhh

Tuesday 25 feb

Today it was a very strange day today because the cricket was on and this is how the day went on: In the morning we did some Maori and said"E hia nga matimati." And then did in it 2. Then we did some maths with money and then did some in the maths groups until morning tea. Then it was morning tea time so they can get some fresh air and a play and something to eat too. After morning tea we had to do silent writing about an old lady. After that we went for a swim and did: freestyle and backstroke then we had a 5 minute free swim then we got out. Now it is lunch and everyone in in the sun with their  

sun hats on. Now the cricket people have came back and we are doing some art which is topic. The art that we are doing is to enter an art competition and so far we are doing great. So that is are day in Ruru room!

 

Monday 24 Th February

Today we knew it was going to be a hot day. We were not doing the run today because we had kiwi kick. The guy at kiwi kick taught us how to do three skills they were:

Chest mark, when your partner throws the ball and you scoop it up and put it into your chest.

Hand mark, is when your partner throws the ball high and you jump and catch with your hands in a W shape.

And spac mark, which means spectacular and that is when your partner puts the ball up high in the air and you run and jump for it. 

After kiwi kick we came inside and did some maths, it was really fun. It was time for morning tea after that we ate our morning tea and went to play. After morning tea we came inside and drank our milk and reading at the same time. Mrs Nicol  came in because the library is under construction and kids were not aloud inside so we all got our books. We had a little gossip about our weekend after that which was funny and fun. We did reading groups after that and that is when we read as a group and we do activities about the same story. It was lunch time so we ate our lunch and went for a play. We went to the signing practice after lunch we sang. Then we did some swimming, we started with freestyle, backstroke was next and then we had a free swim. After that was home time, I hoped you like the session of our day!

 

20 February

This morning it was foggy but we could tell it would be a good day even when we were doing the run we could tell it was going to be hot. We did our math. Then it was morning tea time by the time we got to play we were super boiling. After morning tea we  helped Mrs Brown and her class with their chrome books that took most of our time, but we managed to fit in some topic things. We used our creativity. Our topic is making good choices. We all had lunch after we did our thinking. Then we had a swim and  we came back and did a little bit of writing and went for another swim with Kiwi.

 

Wednesday 19 February

This morning we practised our Maori. When we had finished our Maori we did maths. Then it was morning tea, after morning tea we had our milk and listened to mrs Roberts read the hobbit then we wrote what we need in our story's and did an activity then we did some writing then it was lunch after lunch we did some art and carried on reading the hobbit

Monday 17 February

This morning we did kiwi kick and learnt how to do a drop punt kick we did our kicks on the field. After we did kiwi kick we went strait for a swim we improved our backstroke and freestyle then we all got into groups of five and did a relay we had to do backstroke, freestyle, breaststroke and disco which was just walking doing funky moves. Then it was morning tea after morning tea we did silent reading 

And then basic facts after we did commonly misspelt words for spelling it was lunch. When it was class time we finished our work then we listened to a story which was the hobbit then it was the end of the day and we all went home.

Thursday 13 Feburary

This morning we did our spelling list 6 and 7 after morning tea we drank our milk and read a bit of our book  (the hobbit.) Then we went on the mobile library bus. After that we went for a refreshing swim we our freestyle and backstroke. Then we had lunch. We than finished off our spelling and played a friendly game of Danish rounders.

Tuesday 11 February

We had a kick start to week 2 with kiwi kick. Kiwi kick is a game like Aussie rules but for kids, we practised passing the ball properly and making up our own passes. On Tuesday we went for a swim we practised our backstroke, free style and breaststroke. Today we played a game of Danish rounders. We also did silent writing about a tramper. After that we did the six hats on the holidays. We learnt our karakia  at singing we sang a song finished our game of Danish and did topic our topic is making choices so we had look what the definition of some words meant!!!
